Greek Isle
White pearl walls and blue gates
Reflect the beauty of the sea’s landscape
My simple white knit dress glimmers in the sunshine
Complementing the sea’s vast expansive nature
Pure white seafoam bends with the arc of a glossy blue wave
Everything is drenched in the soothing hues of white and blue
Brilliant pink bouganvilla reaches over the earthen white walls to greet me,
Mesmerized by my rose pink lips
I touch the warm sparkling sand with my fingertips
Men offer me red roses as I walk by,
With a sparkle in their almond eyes
I collect horta on the hillside
And pass the man with honest eyes,
Selling fish by the seaside
Bouzouki melodies drift on the sea breeze
Moonlit olive skin and night blooming jasmine
Kalamata and lemon verbena serenades
Smiling cat eyes and cascades of figs ripening on the trees
Village life is a symphony of community and solitude
Artemis' essence stirs within my soul,
and arisen from the sea, Aphrodite lives in me
As silver moonbeams dance in my heart and on the sea
